GASTAMINE UAS

The main result of GASTAMINE will be an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) that will allow the detection and monitoring of gases such as CO2, CO, O2, NOx, CH4, H2S, and SO2 in underground mines and tunnels. It will also allow the stability of installations to be monitored after blasting operations.

In this way, the GASTAMINE UAS contributes to the high safety standards in mining by providing an advanced monitoring system to ensure the safety of workers, improve the efficiency of operations and optimise time and resources.

The GASTAMINE UAS system makes it possible to cover areas that are difficult to access and provide instant data on a daily basis, which can then be compared with data obtained by traditional means.

Drone Briefcase

The GASTAMINE project also aims to raise awareness of the importance of mining and supplying critical raw materials to society and professionals in other industries. The Drone Briefcase is being developed as a hands-on tool to raise awareness of the importance of the mining industry.

These capacity-building tools have already proven effective in enhancing the perception of mining and improving the Social Licence to Operate in the Briefcase project.
